Nelma Faleiro
Hair therapist, visagist and educator. Specialist in Cosmetic Trichology. A university lecturer for ten years. More than twenty years working with hair, scalp and image.
My story with hair began long before hair therapy. I have always understood hair as more than appearance: it is identity, it is health, it is an extension of our history and our ancestry.
I work with an approach that brings together trichology, integrative health and visagism. I treat scalp disorders — shedding, dysbiosis, dermatitis, inflammation — with individual protocols and clinical reasoning, combining science and sensitivity.
I also specialise in visagism applied to self-esteem. I believe the way a person sees and expresses themselves is part of caring for them.
For ten years I taught at university level and trained more than five thousand professionals. I keep studying: congresses, courses abroad, research. That is what holds up the work I do in the chair.

The salon
Nelblack has been in Tatuapé, São Paulo, for 22 years. It is a small, intimate space run entirely by appointment — which means nobody has to share the professional's attention with three other people at once.
The focus is scalp health, visagism, colour and make-up. We work with every hair texture, with particular attention to curly and coily hair — where the house research lies.
We work in both Portuguese and English.
Trichoscope scalp assessment
Twenty minutes: a guided consultation, a scalp examination with the screen turned towards you, and a written report to take home.
